I could have sworn that I was able to turn it off. I distinctly remember turning it off but then when the delivery notification check mark wasn't working in the outbox, I turned it back on.

I flashed to Alltel .04 f/w and my battery lasts me about 5-6 days with minimal use. 4 days if i talk an hour a day or so. i have had the phone since 7/25, flashed since 8/2

I get 4-5 days on 4.04...I get about as long a standby time as my wife's E815...unless I'm using BT for all calling, then I get about 2.5 days.

what would happen if i flashed back to the verizon firmware and used a skin i created from an alltel flash?

I did that and it was not good. I essentially had to return to VZW....

lol, yesterday, i flashed my phone back to the vzw firmware.. lol, and I kept the moto skin on my phone, and I saw it on the list.. and i was like.. ahh.. oooo.. lol and i picked it, and my phone shut itself off, then it would turn back on, but if i touched anything that had to do with the menus like.. messages, or phonebook, it would freeze and restart the phone, it was a pain in the *** to fix! Don't Do it! lol

This is actually the USCC firmware, but GoldMembr was saying this should be the same as the latest 4.08 Alltel firmware that people have been wanting. I wasn't aware of this, so I wasn't going to post this here in the Verizon > Motorola forum.

But I know a lot of you have been asking for the 4.08, so I figured I'd better start a new thread to help get the word out there.

So if you guys want to upgrade your Alltel flashed V3c's, then have at it - I assume the procedure is identical to what is posted in the wiki.

u can see what i have on my phone now... is the firmware in this thread my best bet to upgrade? I have been out of the mod loop.. sorry for my ignorance .

i went from .08 to .06 and the verizon references are there.......shouldnt it say alltel?

Do we have a tutorial for flashing a V3m to this firmware, and will it work as expected? If I can't get Alltel to flash my VZW V3m with their firmware, this looks like my next best bet.
