    Bluetooth on 6265

Has anyone else been having problems connecting their 6265 phone to a Bluetooth headset. I've tried several times with different headsets and also with Bluetooth capable phones and it sometimes sees the phones, but never finds the headsets. Can anyone help?

not to be "_______" (fill in blank, can't find word), but did you follow the steps for the bluetooth manual. First, I believe you have to turn on the bluetooth device for pairing mode. Then you search for the bluetooth device with your phone (manual for instructions). After, you need to connect to the device and you should also need to enter a passcode of some sort. After that you should be able to connect the blue tooth device. What kind of bluetooth headset did you buy? I have a jabra 250v and it worked fine for me. I used the bt150 before but it was very loose on my ear that I felt I would drop it so I upgraded to the one that goes behind your ear. Any one have any comments on that?

I've done everything correctly. I had a Motorola H350 and an H700, neither of which worked. I turn on the headsets and the phone never sees them.

it might help if you could write down the steps that you took to setup your bluetooth.

Turn on the headset and the phone.
Go into your bluetooth menu on the phone.
Select 'Search for audio enhanc.' It should find the headset.
Enter the code to pair up.
    You should be going now

I did exactly that and it didn't work. I even took it to the Nolia kiosk in Pembroke Lakes Mall and the representative guy couldn't even fix it.

I have a 6265i and a H350, they work perfectly together. The problem is that you are missing one step, that is putting the headset in pairing mode. I believe you start with the headset off, press the button for like 8 seconds, until the light reminds lit, and then try to pair with it with the cell phone. Make sure to read the instructions, I don't remember exactly if that was the procedure, but I'm pretty sure you are missing the pairing mode step.

    better late than never

I know this question was asked years ago but I'll give my input anyway. I just 'put down' my motorola q and started using my old 6265. The bluetooth had been failing a lot. I did a factory reset on the phone and it worked fine for a couple days but then back to bad. Then I noticed fuzz inside the camera window so I popped the case open to clean it. There is an antenna attached to that cover which connects to the phone via two pins. Once I cleaned all that lint out of the compartment, the bluetooth has been acting perfect for days. I've been told that the bluetooth antenna is not on that part of the phone but, well that's my story.

    Smurof Drawoh,

    Greetings.

That backplate is the antenna for the baseband RF but NOT for the Bluetooth. I cannot post the service manual in details here.
