Nice stuff ... Thanks a ton! (BTW - I posted this on the site I write for ... I hope you don't mind. I also gave you credit and linked to the post on Cingular's site.)
Can you keep us updated on the unlocking stage with Adam. I also have talked with him last night 11/21 and woke up this morning to his reply email that my imei unlock code was not found. Crap!!!!!!
Anyway, if anyone has any luck unlocking the Blackjack, please email me at tjb24@daimlerchrysler.com

i second this...anybody know?
i don't know how to make the vibrate shorter, but i used to have a phone a long time ago that had a meeting profile where it gave a short, discrete beep when the phone rang. maybe you could find a beep and use it instead of vibrate? just a thought...
Does anyone know a quick way to copy the contacts from the SIM card into the phone's contact folder? The place where I got the BJ copied my contacts into the SIM card but I haven't found a way to move them into the phone's contact folder!
Wanna great tip...dont set a full mp3 as your text message notification or any notification for that matter other than a ringtone. It wont stop! Not until its done at least. So unless you want to hear the WHOLE SONG cut'er down.

Try Audacity to cut any part of an mp3 into 5, 10, 20 seconds or however long you want to use as a ringtone / notification.
if the intention is to get rid of old email, pocket outlook does that automatically based on a schedule. go to account options and when you get to the screen that shows contacts, email, etc, highlight email, hit menu and set the schedule to hold mail (1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month or all). any mail older than your schedule allows gets deleted automatically.
I like to keep the last month's worth of mail on my phone in case I need to access something on the road. As well as my spam filters work, I still get about 15 or so a day which make it through to my inbox. Not to mention all of the confirmations for calendar entry invites, etc. I have no desire to keep these messages period once I've ready them. Being able to hit a single key to delete would have been nice.
Is there a way to have different notifications for email as opposed to an SMS? I get A LOT of junk mail and I hate pulling my phone out every 15 minutes thinking it's an SMS and seeing it's an email that i'm going to delete.
Second, I know how to assign ringtones to specific callers, but is there anyway to assign a ringtone to 'unknown.' Phones from my office come up as 'unknown' and I'd like to set a specific ringtone for them, any way?
I get an error that is like "this file type is not allowed" or something similar, but if you hit send/OK, it will transfer without a problem.
Try repairing your BJ with the mac. Delete your pairing on both devices. Connect as "Other device" and not as a phone or PDA.
8525nut: You must buy MissingSync to sync contacts and calander with the mac!! While the motorlola and many other phones can sync with iSync, you need missingsync for windowsmobile/smartphone.
PS- file transfer over bluetooth is faster than on other devices I have!
MASWELL, This did the trick plus many other options, thanks for the help.
Those of you needing to sync with a Mac, I would recomend this product, it works great.
