Here is a stupid question: if you miss a call or message, is there any recurring notification (a beep or anything) to tell you without looking at the phone? I have looked through all the literature and can't find anything.
I just switched over from a blackberry and want my email to work similarly. If I understand WM 5.0 correctly, the closest I can come to this is via exchange server and outlook e-mail. If I am mistaken, please let me know. If I am not, can anyone recommend an exchange server host? Thank you in advance.
There is a 12 day trial. I installed it and love it personally, well worth the $14 bucks.
I see that it shows your current battery usage. does it also tell you when it's charging and when it is complete? the bj fails to tell you charging is complete without going into the task manager.

installed the trial.. doesn't seem to. definitely a great app tho.

FYI, on my BJ, it (regular BJ software) shows a charging plug in the battery icon while charging, and a full battery when it is full charged.
Has anyone gotten VoiceCommander to work with the H700 BT headset? VC works just fine on the device, but pressing the "call" button on the headset doesn't seem to invoke VC.
Some, including myself, have it working well except call initiation from the bT earphone. I can initiate the call with vc from the BJ and the BT will pick it up. There is a longer thread on this in the smartphone forum.
Has anyone figured out how to switch between 3G and EDGE? Elsewhere a link was posted, but my BJ did not have the option as described in the link.
I don't believe there ia a way. I also think the thread you are referring to was speaking about a ppc device which did have a way to do that and you could set your bands or use an auto setting. I think some are complaining the Cingular disabled that on the 8525.

I set up my email through mobile outlook (i use pop3) and select it to check every 15 min. It's not as quick as push or bberry, but it's not too bad either and it's automatic.
Denver should be covered. I saw a map that showed 3g service. The one on the website is outdated and needs to be re-vamped. If your phone says U on your 8525 or on the Blackjack a 3g, then you have UMTS there.
How can you tell if your phone is connected to UMTS (fast) or HSDPA (faster) if it only says "3G"?
My new BJ is being delivered tomorrow. I have a quick question. I searched the forums and didn't see anything, so here goes: Does the BJ have contacts shortcuts similar to the BB 8700. Not the speed dialing i.e. 1-99 but rather if my contacts name is Jim, I can have is number tied to the letter "J" on the phone and all I have to do is hold down the "J" button and it calls Jim?
