    How are nighttime minutes charged?

I know this is a stupid question, but I've seen different results from different cell companies.

    I had a phone call that started at 4AM - 8AM.

Verizon charged me for the minutes after 5:59AM.

I thought that as long as you start the phone call during the free night time minutes, it would be considered nighttime even if it went beyond the nighttime.

    ATTWS doesn't charge. Verizon does?

    Thanks!

    Caltrinity,
Yes, this is the only way I've seen Verizon bill these minutes, called "spanned" minutes, or spanning across two time segments.

Your example makes it sound like a bad deal, but when I get a call at 7:45pm, and it starts going to Night & Weekend minutes at 8pm, I'm thrilled! I vote for Verizon's current system.
