Why does it take so long for this phone to send/receive text? (9900)

Its been taking so long to text and I notice when I make a call, it suddenly receives a few and sends them all. Is this just a minor phase, or is it a phone thing?

mine doesn't do that....working just fine and just as fast to text as my 8300.

it's a service issue, caused by the tower not finding your phone right away, and when you connect to the tower, it'll drop all your texts to you... if you know you're expecting texts, you can dial #832, it's a 15 second free test call, free no matter what time, and it's enough to drop your texts off...
