kx5 USB software

i tried using the search engine but i couldn't think of the words to type so im just going to explain what i did and hopefully someone can help

i bought the kx5 and it came with the usb cable and disk but a week ago i had to reformat my PC and i lost the software where i can add files to my phone and such, is there anywhere i can download the software so i can put files on my phone once again, thank you guys

if it came with a disk, then you can add files with it, its the driver that recognizes the phone to the computer

use ur phone as a usb storage, go and enable it in the phone, then copy and paste files in the correct folders

ok thanks i got that working, one more question what program do you use to cut mp3. to make ringtones, i had a program but i reformatted my computer

I either use kyocera mobile phone tools found on this forum with the search

or MP3 to ringtone gold

thanks i found a program... one more question... guys how do you change in your windows settings where it shows the extension on files so i can change .mp3 to .mid , thanks you guys have been very usefull

I usually just go to my computer, tools, folder options, then to file types and then uncheck hide well known file ext or something like that and you will be able to rename the ext

with kx5 u dont have to worry about that, just for the default in which you rename mid


if you get more into ur phone you will want a prog called qpst where you can change the sounds of ur alerts ie everything else
