does the 8260 have any "cool" face plates??

When I say "cool," I'm talking about conversions. I know that you can buy full housings for an 8290 to make it look like an 8890, or 8310.

What about the 8260?? Does it have any conversions faceplates? I know that there are ones that make them look like 8310, but that is about it. Do they make any face plates conversion for the 8260 to make them look like an 8890, or 8860? The best I can do is get a chrome front cover, and a chrome back cover, but there is still that middle piece that is annoying me.

Do you guys know any sites??

oh yea, one more thing: Are there manual slide faceplates for the 8260?? the chrome plate that I have is an auto slide, and it pops open with a lot of force. It can actually hurt someone!!!

yea, thx. that helped. I think I *might* buy it, but I'm not sure if I want to spend 25 bucks on a full housing, when I'm just going to use the middle piece.......

(I ordered a front and back plate for my 8260 that is chrome..)

try looking around for conversion cases. they have em for your phone. i think they look pretty neat becuase i have one myself. look around your local dealers or you can look online at ebay where you can get them cheap.

really?? they actually have conversions for the 8260?? I'm posititve that they have the 8310 conversions, but I want a conversion that has some kind of "slide" case(i.e 8890, 8860 look).


If you find some, can you tell me...

I've been looking all over, but could never find anything besides the 8310 conversions....

I know my local dealer doesn't have anything....btw, what does your conversion look like anyways?? and where did you get it?

heh..i suggest u NOT to buy it the slide ones...they use the CHEAPEST materials to make them..mine broke the 1st day i installed it...the plastic that stops the slide broke off...so cheap...dont buy slide faceplates for 8260

hehehe, too late, I already ordered one. They are going to be my second set of auto-slide faceplates!!!

my first set of chrome is getting scratched, and the stoppers came off within 2 weeks too. It's kind of funny because if you point it up, it can fly a few feet up!!


I dont know, maybe it's just me, but I just want some kind of faceplate with the slide. It looks more *complete* to me. It looks naked with the keypad showing. But the problem is that they dont' make manual slide(I haven't seen any yet, at least)......only those auto slides that can poke an eye out!!! I think I"m just going to cut the springs and make them shorter, so the force wouldn't be that great. I"m going to find a way to make my auto slide to a manual slide....

should have just stuck with the conversion ones =P. the "slide" cases are very bad.. they break easily.. so just be careful with them. just search and find them. there's probably many different kinds of cases that nobody has. i saw them for my phone (3390) and i'm thinking about getting one of them. so yea.. look around until u find one that u like
