There is also a chance that the card can get corrupted. I mean whats the chance of breaking the phone unless u smash it purposely? And the n91 is metal too
cards are MUCH cheaper and rarely have problems.
OH SORRY, I forgot to read the specs that stated the Nokia n91 to be absolutely indestructible.
hi there am plannin to buy n91 but there r lot of issues with the 4gb like lags, software not detecting hdd, hangin, etc.how is the 8gb model so far in terms of os stability hanging or any harware issues plz post me it would be of great help thanks
Are u still on the 1.0.xx firmware by any chance?
These issues have been resolved ever since the 1.1x f/w version came along. The 2.10.xx version is very stable.
Got the 4gb one in late september. I'm very satisfied with the phone, only thing that bothers me is the lack of A2DP, which the ME has. Maybe, I should've waited...
^ N91 4GB users, have any of you ever tried to upgrade the FW of your N91 4GB to the FW of the N91 8GB???
i just noticed that the, BT approval of the 4GB is the same as the approval of the 8GB, and it says both have A2DP, hence most likey and specially if your N91 is relatively new, that both have the same hardware and it might be possible to activate the A2DP of the N91 4GB if you use the FW of the N91 8GB...
anyone brave enough to try???
i use my cellphones too much, my brains are fried...

hmm...I believe that since A2DP is just a profile, so long as you have the correct driver, it should work on ANY BT dongle/device. So, in theory, if the BT h/w layout hasn't changed between the 4gb and 8gb versions, what you just said should work.
u can try abhi, but i dont think it will have a2dp (althou the proto i tried did have it )
I'll disagree with you here.
If the hardware between the N91 and the N91ME is exactly the same (except the HDD of course) and if someone can replace the N91's BT drivers with the N91ME's BT drivers then it is possible to have A2DP on the N91.
And if your proto had it, it just proves my point!

how? I don't have access to a win pc at all these days. Only my powerbook.
I could try it when I get back to the US tho.
But, rather than flashing the entire f/w, it'd be cool to know if there's a way to only port over the BT drivers and replace just them (like how you can replace drivers in windows). I'm sure there's people out there who know how to do this.

Seems to be, mines survived everything it's been through (pond, pool, dropped plenty of times) works perfectly still.
This phone seems to be popping up slowly for sale, I'm tempted to order one from eBay but I'm just not sure yet. How's the A2DP? Does it work well with stereo bluetooth headsets or are there any problems?
I got the Nokia A2DP headset BH-601 today for my N91 8GB. I was bit reluctant to buy initially as I was not sure about the audit quality .. particularly after I got used to SHURE E4C's! But I can tell you that the sound quality is on par with Shure's or even Bose! I can control the music functions on the the headset & not worry about touching the phone. When I used it as a headset(for voice calls).. it disabled the output from the right channel.
The headset is comfortable to wear. but I feel it's bit tight. Hopefully it will be become loose after few uses.
The good thing about this set is it came with the bluetooth USB adaptor(AD-47W). As soon as I plugged in to my laptop.. it quickly paired with 601. I could play iTunes on this headset.. love it! I don't need to use it with my N91 when I am around my laptop.
