Yeah 601 may not look sleek than 501. but 601 has bigger cups .. which *may* give better quality than 501. I know bigger may not be always better Also, 601 comes with bluetooth USB adaptor for laptop hence bought 601!

501 comes with BT dongle as well... the beauty of the 501 is that you can use any headset with it, which i kinda prefer, since i paid soo much for those heasets already...

Listening for the past hr .. so far so good. No hiccups yet! Tested few songs with Bose Triport IE & 601. I found no degrade in the sound quality. Absolutely no noise. Infact 601 sounded *fuller* than Bose this may be due to the ear cups vs in ear style. I need to see how long the batterry lasts.

It feels good to walk around without wires When blueooth headsets came out in the market.. I wondered why the hell you need a wireless headset to a wireless phone
Now I can wirelessly listen to high quality stereo music on my wireless phone! You gotta love the technology!

Bose manipulates sound. While you think you hear "good" sound, it is not true sound.

I also can't wait to get an A2DP phone and a A2DP headset.

It *may* not be the true sound. But it is "pleasant" to ears! Shure E4C I have is good. But it lacks bass & produces too much treble. Where as Bose has excellent bass with nice range treble.

I just checked mine and it said made in finland under the battery.
The code in the IMEI is 00 as well.

Are they special or something?

Yeah, I could have 2 n91s I suppose. That would replace my 6680.
