WM5 unread email that won't go away

For almost two weeks now I have had, supposedly, one unread email in outlook on my HTC Tytn that is unread. My phone syncs wirelessly with our exchange server, and despite clicking 'mark all read' in outlook, the unread email on my phone will not go away. I had done multiple soft resets, no good. Anyone heard of this or better, know how to get rid of the unread email. Its not in any subfolders or anything, and at the top of my inbox in outlook I have clicked 'Mark all read' no luck.

On your PC, have you labeled it with a Reminder Flag? Maybe this -or something that links the cursed email to something else- is making it immune to deletion?

    Just a thought...

I have the problem in mobile outlook on occasion. At first, I resigned myself to a hard reset. Then I figured there had to be a better way. While trying to find a way to find the message in storage, I happened to connect my k-jam to my pc and it did an activesysnc and the message was gone. That was the only fix I could find on the K-jam. Now I am using a Treo750 and it happened twice and then corrected itself about an hour later on a wireless sync.

    Hope that helps some.

I connect my Tytn to my pc at home every night to charge it and it syncs, I don't physically connect it to any other pc, during the day it wirelessly syncs with my exchange server. Its driving me nuts...

I tried this but no luck. There was one attachment file there and I did delete it but it didn't make a difference.

When in Messaging and I click on Text Messages to expand the directory tree, the Drafts text is in bold with (1) in blue beside it. But when I click on Drafts, there is nothing showing up in this folder. Therefore, there is nothing to delete.

    I am confused???

Well, it's too late for me. I have already deleted the file. But why would transferring it to a different folder first make a difference?
