Can one person sign up for separate SERO voice and data plans at the same time?

I'm considering getting a $30.00 SERO voice/phone plan in addition to the $50.00 SERO broadband laptop card plan (might need the another phone, and the SERO deal is obviously really good).

Can you do this (one person activate 2 SERO #s, one for voice/phone and the other for a broadband card)? Or are you limited to one SERO account per person?

    Couple of questions:

-I don't have Sprint EVDO in my area, but I do have Verizon's EVDO: Can I data roam on Verizons EV with the appropriate handset?

-I'd like to jump onto SERO but don't have an email outside of savings@sprint.com and the like, and would like to avoid some guy getting a $25 referrel incentive, then saying that they have no idea who I am. When you call in, do they ask for the actual email? I saw one poster get lucky without one being verified, but, has anyone else tried this?

-What does "free data" constitute? Free web browsing? Does it count against my pool of minutes? Can I tether?
If an Amp'd Hollywood is left in the forest... and no carrier is around to push a bogus PRL, is it still something more than a brick?

free data = unlimited data usage on the phone. If its a PDA phone, then its whatever you want to do with it.

    Count against minutes? Nope

    Can you tether? Not officially.

Yes you can, but it also depends on your credit.

I'm very close to taking advantage of this great deal too, and forgive me if it's been answered far earlier, but I didn't see an answer to the most recent question a couple posts up:

Can we roam on Verizon's EVDO if there's no Sprint EVDO coverage in our area?

No, I'm not sure if it is in the fine print on the bottom of the SERO page. No data available unless you are on a Sprint network.

If anyone can help out, I have 2 friends who want to go SERO. I'm sure they'll do the referral credit, too. Email to brad@visionshosting.net if you happen to have a SERO email address.

    Thanks in advance.

    hey all,

any tips for what to say to CSRs for existing sero people for free texts? I called the number on page 1 and got denied, with the rep saying that it's only for new customers. I searched the thread for the same question, and i found a post saying to check the last few posts of the SERO Part II thread, and I checked 15 pages back from the end, not really finding much more than success stories.

    i asked nicely

Just call and ask, that is what I did.

No issues. You have to call the right number, but I can't remember what it is. I know it is in a previous thread on part two.

    Good luck.

The price of a smartphone is $650. That's not gonna persist.
    Dennis Woodside, CEO of Motorola
Rolfe Winkler of the Wall Street Journal also thinks that these fighting words from Woodside should have “executives at Samsung shaking in their boots.” He also thinks that “folks at Apple should also be sweating.”

do you say "I want text messages for free," or "I want text messages for free cuz new sero customers get it," or some other kind of reason. or will they just be ok with no explanation?
