I am currently a Sprint PCS customer, and have been for the past 7 years. I am trying to log in to the Sero website (www.sprint.com/sero) to change plans and upgrade to a better phone. I have tried a real sprint reps email address as well as the savings@sprint.com I cannot look at any plans/phones and am directed to call 888-882-4030 to order by phone. Can someone please help me? and let me know if I qualify for SERO despite the fact that I am a sprint customer ( I have 6 months left on my current contract) Thanks!

You will need to get your account switched over?
And you aren't out of contract?
If you were, I'd recommend calling retentions and asked to be switched.
Simply dial *2 and say "cancel"

You could try switching thru ecare, but if you want a new phone, retention is your best bet.
You could always try calling employee accounts as well.
    I'd try ecare first.

I have a question. Sprint called me and said that I am eligible for a second line for free but when I called sprint to try and order one they told me that I would have to put a security deposit. They also said that I can get a free phone with nextel. Is there away around that or is there away that I can get the nextel phone then switch it to sprint.

Hey, now let me ask something. How often can you upgrade your phone on SERO? On my current plan on AT&T, I am able to upgrade at the discounted upgrade price whenever I want.

Does SERO allow this too? Or do you have to wait out your 2 year to upgrade handsets at the discounted rate?

Im sorry, but this seems to be too good to be true.. Or at least I hope not.

30.00 a month = 500 min, unlimited txt, Unlimited Data, N&W @ 7pm, Unlimited Mobile-to-mobile????? I signed up with a Motorola Q, if this is true WOW.. what a deal!!

I just everything is really what they promised, I guess I will find out 1st couple of bills.

Anyone else sign on with SERO with a Q?? Is everything as promised? Unlimited Data, Txt and Mobile to Mobile??

Wait 2 years for discount price or pay full retail anytime before then. That's all to it. Two years or full price for SERO contracts.

The only reason I am worried is because of a past experience with cingular. I got a Treo 650 (awesome phone!) with Media package with unlimited pic/txt messages. Low and behold I found out later that the unlimited pic/txt was for "Regular Handsets" and the Treo needed a data package to use pic messages. My other phone (handset) worked fine, but I wasn't told the unlimited data was only due to handset sending pics, not for sending pics on a treo (used data). I know data is data in the end, but damn what a "fine print" for ya. I just hope this isn't the case again with my new Moto Q I got on SERO with their "unlimited data" for pic mail and web.

Cingular thinks PDA=License to pick your pocket. Sprint does not seem to be like that.

Warning: Just make sure Unlimited text plan is included. Send or receive a test SMS message. (Your text plan does not show up on the screen until there is activity.) Look at your unbilled activity. If you see one casual messaging text, get on the horn to CS and remind them that SERO includes Unlimited text and ask for it to be added. (Like I had to do)

Yeah. I came from Cingular as well. I had a block put on data access for my accounts. Alot of people don't realize that picture messages are MMS/Data with CingulATT. Anyways, enjoy your unlimited data with SERO. Picture text all you want

This has probably been asked and answered, but I don't know how to search this thread to find the answer so I will ask anyway. Can you tether through SERO? I will have a PDA phone, probably the 6800 if I make the jump to Sprint.

Not officially. How much do you want for $30 a month?
CDMA - a great technology, hobbled by greedy carriers and a closed business model. Its a pity, really.

Has anyone had any luck switching to a sero plan with retention while getting a new phone? I have a family plan with 2 lines and my contract has expired. I want the sero plan. But I also want the new phone discount plus keep my existing number. I was planning to do the prepaid to postpaid port trick. but if it would be better through retention, then I would try it. Any thoughts?

Now, with the Q on a SERO plan, does this include tethering? Or is this not allowed?

Also, as a side note, can the Q tether via bluetooth?
