Did that knowing full well what i was in for I had the rep in the store pull up my tenetive BAN and show me the memo that says that.. Activated, called back, got transferred to Buisness Care and was told that they couldnt switch me because my account wasnt eligable for a SERO conversion I asked them to please look deeper (8 min later) she came back on the line and said she was sorry and was converting my account as we speak. Now, Having worked in the wireless industry for 8 years and 4 of them working for T-Mobile as a rep then manager, I know how to get what i want, so I started to pour it on.. Big headache and how I had AT&T before and had txt and nights starting at 6 for free.. always positive and nice..walked away with 6pm nights, unlim txt and first month free.. Now here's the kicker.. Went back to the store to exchange my Razr v3M for a Sanyo M1 (MUCH better phone.. Moto, stick to GSM) and I now have a interview next Tuesday for a sales rep position.
I would be worried about switching a phone to SERO unless the phone was purchased from Sprint itself. You have to read the terms and conditions very carefully, because there are sellers who will charge you an additional equipment fee if you switch their phones over to SERO before a minimum of 180days. For example, Amazon charges $250 for this.

Sorry for this message if its already been asked or something similar...Im on the end of my rope here - vzw just disconnected my service because i was on an old employee plan. Now im considering every option and i need a solution with the next 12 hours. I was up to date with sero but to recap a few things:
    - Im in Chicago, does SERO access mean that id have some kind of limited connectivity or something that would affect my RF just for being on SERO?
    - if i sign-up on sprint.com/sero, does my contract go through inphonic? how legitmate are the contracts?
    - what is the best way to sign up for sero? through the web? or sign up first on a plan then convert to sero?

    any feedback is greatly appreciated

Your best bet is through the sprint.com/sero website. I don't know what coverage is like on Sprint in Chicago, but if regular Sprint is okay in Chicago, then SERO will be even better, not as far as reception, but as far as internet connectivity, because it is unlimited. Inphonics is legit and the contracts are all legit. Sign up on the sero website, instead of trying to switch a phone over, because if it's a new contract, you might have to pay fees for switching over to SERO, not charged by Sprint, but by the one who sold you the cell phone.

Hi. What do you mean by go online and add it. I am on the verge of getting a SERO plan and I would be very interested in getting some free texts messages to go along with it. Thanks!

This is a very stupid question, but I'm trying to cover all bases here, in a post or two above it's stated that the internet connection would be better on SERO, how is that at all possible?

Also, is there a difference between basic phone reception on a regular plan as opposed to a SERO plan? I want a phone first, then all the other stuff that comes along is just icing

SERO would be exactly the same as any other sprint phone.

Great thanks for the quick reply, one more question that I don't think has been answered yet..........

Here's my problem, I really would like to get on a SERO plan to take advantage of what so many of you are already getting, but I'm set on getting a Samsung M610. How do I go about doing this? If I call telesales can they setup a SERO plan without going through inphonics? Also, how legitimate is the "holiday special" email address that runs through the 28th of February, are they going to give me a hard time about this if I call and try to order over the phone. I'm looking to do this tonight, I just got out of my Verizon contract (Thank God) and need a new phone ASAP

Could someone explain what SERO customers get for free regarding internet and on demand video, I just received my phone, Sprint seems to be really good at confusing the crap out of me so i'll do something stupid and get charged a lot.

besides internet access and picture mail, what internet services do SERO customers have?

    thanks

    Basic Sprint TV IIRC.

My phone doesn't support Sprint TV so its a moot point for me.

You get unlimited internet, be that browsing the web or applications, which includes some basic TV channels. Thats about it.

RGoose18: You might or might not be able to get it through telesales. Best bet is the website

So it's pretty blatant and indicates when it's going to charge me for something?
