I like more abstract images and patterns. Right now I'm using a black vista homescreen with a black vista background with the green and blue lines.
Its very high resolution and looks amazing. I'm not one for "messy" pictures with lots of colors. I have lots of information on my homescreen which requires high contrasting backgrounds and text.
For instance, I like the beach picture that was posted previously... its a great pic. But what color text would you use? Black, no because the tree is dark. White, no because the sand is light. You could arrange your text on the right side perhaps.. but that is the problem with most backgrounds with those who display lots of text on their homescreens.
obviously a solid color is preferred but that is boring.
The teal vista aurora is a nice background using black text.

Quote from nstabl on findings about correct "non-scaled" wallpaper size on the blackjack
"OHHHHHHHH 320x213!!!!!!!!!! awesome!!!
I copied a factory background to my computer and checked out the specs.. Now high qual background pics on the i607!"
I don't know if the previous pictures are sized properly for the blackjack or if they are just standard 320x240. But for pictures to be displayed properly then they need to be be 320x213 as nstabl found.
actualy the exact size for the blackjack is 320x186. i was just making then 320x240 incase there were other phones that needed 320x240
right now im using a picture of my car, and it works well

hisdudeness300, your pics are awesome.
expecially the tropics pics. I put them right away.
thanks.
Here is a template that I created for the i607 BlackJack. The visible area is between the yellow lines and the green line represents the ICON area.

I would like to try an iphone home screen on my i607. I don't like the fish one but the Apple time and icon view one. I found a pretty good one called 'myPhone' but it requires half a dozen plug-ins and several things don't work, plus if you try to modify the xml to make it work with the things that do, the screen selection magically disappears. I would like one in which the icons actually work with regular WM5-6 programs on phone, but I'd rather not add facade or other plug-ins and I'd settle for a "false icon" screen with room and placement for the standard WM displays (carrier, appnts, time, date, etc) I am trying some modifications to xml templates but no luck so far.
Thanks ayone
