Anyone notice that the initial pics show an LCD outer display but the more recent live pics show what seems like an OLED display? I hope its OLED.

Sorry to disappoint, but it looks like the top picture after it's programmed and normally in idle mode. However, alerts and caller-id (etc) look like the bottom. They make the lcd look like an oled, though the text is blue, not white.

    You want my Audi/Jessica wallpaper? It's 1920 x 1200.

I guess I can upload it to my Web site and provide you a link.

I just made a new wallpaper featuring a Porsche 911 and Nelly Furtado.

Once I get a new phone (VX8700, VX9900, who knows), I might just shrink that wallpaper and make it my phone's background.

Hey Guys, just wondering if you have had any success ordering phones from the Verizon online site? i had planned to go into a store on the 6th and pick up this phone but it appears that the phone won't be in stores until the 17th. I'm wondering if I order the phone on the 6th if it will be here before the 17th or are there normally long delays on the website due to high demand when a phone is first released?

if you order the phone online normally you'll get it in about 2 or 3 days.

Has anyone else noticed that the battery life, esp. the standby is nowhere near that of the 8600?

Yes, if you put in 99999, it will show you the VX8700, but no picture has been loaded yet. Just the normal details of the device.
