Yeah, don't use Windows Media Player. If you have a card, just store it all to the my music file on the card itself. If on the phone, store it in the music directory. Transfer it all with bitpim, as long as you have the Info filled out for it, it translates over just fine.

    This is what I do:

    Start Windows Media player
Connect phone to PC via USB
Go to Start Get in Now
    then Music/Tones
    then Sync music

Your phone internal memory and memory stick(if you have one) should be recognized.

    Hope this helps.

    Cant get music/driver/download to work

I just got the vcast music essentials kit, I put CD in drive and it did not start auto, so I poked around and think I got it to load the music manger atleast, but keep getting error that no driver is loaded.

It wont find my phone no matter how many times I plug and unplug it.

Im running Vista and have not idea what BitPim is, but Ive seen it mentioned on this forum several times.

My phone was loaded with lastest version a few days ago so that should be good.

Please help, I have have the LG 9900 env

LG has the drivers posted on their new site www.lgcommunity.com in the file library under DRIVERS. Once you download those, your puter will recognize your phone. Also, bitpim is a freeware that really simplifies the transferring of files from your phone to your puter or form your puter to your phone. you can download it free at www.bitpim.org.
    I've got phones for bones.

Thanks for the reply, however there is not a driver listed for Vista on that link. When downloaded I only get W2k, W98 and WME.... On the box I got from Verizon for my phone it says it works with Vista, yet LG does not have a driver listed. Now what?

Ok I must be doing something stupid..... I downloaded them and on the VCast Music MAnager I still get a message that reads my phone is not connected. I've got 4 USB ports and have tried them all. They all work fine, I tested each one with another USB item.

I know this cant be that difficult.

At this point, the only thing I can suggest is to restore Vista to a point prior to when you installed Music Manager. If all goes well, try the drivers suggested in post #7 OR the download version of Music Manager from http://www.vzam.net/vcastmusic/step3...8k-99k-002.exe. DO NOT have the phone plugged in while installing either. Once the install is finished, plug in the phone and let Vista find the drivers. Click on the pop up to view the status of the hardware recognition. If successful, 3 devices will be installed, LGE CDMA USB Modem, Serial Port and Composite Device, if I remember correctly. You can now fire up BitPim, click Find Phone and your phone will be recognized. I am running XP on desktop, Vista Basic on laptop, have enV and BitPim working perfectly on both. I used drivers that came in a file called Drivers_9900_cd.zip for my desktop from http://rapidshare.com/files/4695891/...00_cd.zip.html, but I used the d/l'd VZMM2 on the laptop and everything is running fine on both. Best of luck!
