Phone shuts off after USB unplugged

When I hook up my phone to my computer via USB and then unplug it when I'm done, the phone shuts off and I have to press the power button to turn it on again. Is this normal?

    thanks,

If you have it in phone mode it should go back to the menu you were in before you unplugged it. If it's in file transfer mode it reboots itself to the standby screen. That's how it is on my phones.

I have it in file transfer mode. When I unplug it, it shuts down.

This is how my w900i and my friend's k800 works. But I guess yours is a bit different in that it shuts down. Other than that are there any other differences? everything saves during the transfer right? and nothing weird happens after?

Mine just reboots, as well. It doesn't shut down totally.

It's supposed to just reboot and not power down the phone.
