again u have to fix ur wording. U should say selling iden only phones not making cuz that falls to motorola and like I said telus is getting at least 2. I would assume sprint nextel would get them also since they know people will just get the canadian version unlock it and use it in the u.s. and then they lose money off of that sale. Their contract is until 2009 if my memory serves me well so Why would they stop selling 2 years early? I think you MAYYYYY (notice how i stress the may part ) be jumping the gun. They will probably stop SELLING iden only phones when their contract runs out.
Please keep this in mind before people go off on me this is my opinion and my knowledge of what I know telus is releasing.
Forgive me if I'm a little off, but I could swear I read an article online that said Saudi Arabia will begin using iden technology phones, and I'm well aware that Isreal already uses iden, as well as Im sure other countries. Why is it that Motorola would not continue to grab its market share in the US does not make sense to me at all. I think S/N is spinning us around like politicians do, then we eat sh*t and take because well have no choice, it would have already been too late, cause we're busy buying the hybrids!! (Nextel Who?)

Life is an internal struggle, modding phones is a PITA.
Please before you pm me find your way to the search button found here or google.

Again, How do you "know" what their goals are? They don't even know, lol.
Refrain from making any definitive statements. You don't "know" and regardless of what the topic is or how it eventually will turn out, statements like these will rile anyone who reads them. Especially those that come to these forums for facts.
Please do not respond unless you hold at least 51% of the company stock. Only then will your opinion have any bearing on the companies future plans.
I cannot understand how Sprint makes it mandatory that all other phone manufacturers incorporate at least dual digital band in their phones however, Motorola Hybrids are only 1900 and IDEN.
Until they make these phones dual digital band capable, a lot of them will sit on the shelf. I currently have an Sanyo 8400 and would be out of luck if I did not have the 800 mhz capability as I am always going into Verizon areas.
As a former Nextel customer for 7 years, I switched to Sprint because of IDEN issues however I kept an IDEN phone with just the DC part activated just to keep my IDEN contacts. As soon as a digital dual band hybrid comes out, myself and countless others I'm sure, will be switching.

Very poor planning on Sprint's part I must say
I think it was covered else where in the Forum but I remember something about iden and CDMA being in the 800 -850Mhz conflicting with each other in the same handset but not sure. It would be great though
So i work at a Sprint store in the south region and today i got an email from our trainor with a Power Point presentation about the new powersource phones and there was the ic702 name. i dont know what link works bu here they are
