Hybrid Tech Support confirmed that the new IC902 will be available in the Philadelphia service market in early May 2007. Unlike the IC402 and IC502 it will have multi-band roaming capability and hopefully some of the current Hybrid software issues with IDEN/PCS switching and hand-offs will be resolved prior to the release.

Is anyone else having a problem believing it will be CDMA 1900 and 800? Or what is meant by "multi-brand roaming capability?

I was thinking the same.. If the phone will have 800Mhz roaming, that will make the phone mine. Truly the best of both worlds.

Seems to me there was a technical reason that these phones couldn't use the same antenna for two different 800MHz range frequencies, I seriously doubt the ic902 is going to overcome that. But hey, who knows until it gets here.
I have the i880 and I love it. Although I'm upset that this cold weather ****ed up my Camera! newayz, I work as a sales rep and tech for nextel/sprint here in NYC. I've seen 1 picture of a i880 silver? does it exist and where can I get it? Also, I've told my customers that the ic902 is coming out between april and may..any pics or specs on it? 1 last thing, wha is this of a i890? I was under the impression that the i880 would be the last great nextel phone before giving way to the hybrids (which I find vastly overrated).
^^^^^^^lololololololololololololol^^^^^^^^
but hey .... can anyone find out about the dual band roaming on the 902? if it roams 1900 and 800 WOW
I have never heard of a sprint customer having Interference when a nextel is using dc so i would guess it would cause it ..... but then again i can dc and hear the "noise" on any speaker at restaurant or store...lol
