If they're real tones, they aren't true midi files. They are probably just renamed mp3 files. Try changing the extension of an mp3 to mid.

My friend has an LG VX5200 model phone which I am requesting about. I will have a VX 6100 with plays MP3 ringtone, however the VX 5200 will not. According to a review it will play CMX and MIDI. I am wanting to know how I make a realtone for her phone. She has one from Verizon that plays lyrics and all. It is 76 KB, however if I try to make one I have to make it into beeps and clicks. Is there a program to allow me to make the file. When I use Audacity and save as a .mid it it like 200+ kb for a like 10 sec. clip. I want to know if there is a way to make a smaller midi that is a realtone. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I tried to do that as I am saving it but it makes it go from like 50 kb to 200kb
I just tried the idea, it went from 63.8kb to 192 kb. Is this ok for file size cause her 'Realtone' is only like 73kb and its 20 sec. long, the one I made is 12 sec. and 192kb.
