People cannot hear me with my S66.. :( help!

I have a Siemens S66. When I make a call, people cannot hear me talk, but I can hear them just fine. When I plug in the phone in my Mercedes cradle, and use it handsfree, it works fine. I did a master reset, pulled battery out, SIM card etc, but nothing works. I checked the settings to make sure I wasn't in handsfree mode or anything out of the ordinary, but nothing worked.

The key thing is that when plugged into the car cradle it works, but when not, people cannot hear me.

Anyone know how to fix this issue please?

    thanks!

To me ..... it sounds like your mic is fried. You might want to try doing a "device check". You can find that in your "Phone setting" ---> "phone identity" ----> Device check ---> then do a "self test".

test went fine. When in a phone call, if I rub the keys I can hear the clicketing of the keys (not actually pressing the keys), but if blow on the phone or talk, I hear nothing on the other phone. It's wierd. When I did the self test again but while the phone was in call, the 2nd sound test didn't work.

How would I even go about fixing the mic?

I believe Cingular sold them in America. Try one of their service centres. Although, t might be cheaper to buy another phone. Also, I would try upgrading your software through the Siemens website. Good luck!

yeah it may be cheaper to just buy another. I'll try upgrading the software once I buy a cable. If that fails I'll just buy another.
