I am downloading this as well. But there is also an update out for Verizon:
Package Version: 4.2.0.88
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.2.0.71
Software Platform: 2.2.0.41

Which is newer.
Why use Rogers when the other one is newer. Just trying to decide myself.
Thanks,
Allan

so what does the .79 offer in terms of bug fixes? or anything like that?
My question exactly. Some other blackberry websites are all talking about the newer one. But I am not sure what the difference is yet. I guess we have to wait and see.
I think I will wait to see myself. As the newer one must have some extra bug fixes that Rogers decided not to incorporate. But from what I heard all updates are interchangeable between providers. It is just the VENDOR.XML file which is different. Remove that and you can use any update on any Vendor.

did it..works great..thanks!
updating now, actually downgrading from cingular's .69 to now rogers .67. it already indicated my blackberry maps was being upgraded, while the rest is being downgraded. so, rogers .67 has a newer version of blackberry maps than cingular's .69, so it appears.
interesting, my free memory seems to have gone up by 4mb. cool.
