So far, menus for anything that is NOT based on a list(IE not recent call list, contacts, inbox, and outbox) is much faster. Think 1/3 to 1/4 the lag time of before(much more responsive buttons now).

As for the list based items, they still have a delay (lag) but it is not as long. Lag time for those is about half what it was.

I will have a better feeling for it later today but I can tell you that the drop in lag is definitely noticeable.

    it can, it works!! yay!

EDIT: It lets you set them as a ringer (which it didnt even give you that option before the update) however when someone calls it wont ring, it will just act as it is on silent.

    BS!

I did the update earlier today too and am just getting a chance to play around with it. Menu's do seem faster than before. But....it seems like I get better reception too. I usually get one bar in my house and today I get three or four. Maybe I'm just crazy.

I can hang on to calls in the back corner of the bathroom at the danced studio now. Yes, the update does make a difference in fringe coverage areas.

    Updated mine too.

I guess this version still doesn't address the volume bugs. I tried setting the ringer volume to 4 with vibrate, and the alarm to 1 with no vibrate, and the alarm sounds at 4 with vibrate. Other than the alarm problem, the beep volumes are at 4 when I set them to 1.

The menu responds much faster now, even the picture mail, camera/camcorder speed have improved, but have to keep the phone on for a couple more days to see if it slows down.

My phone crashed more than 10 times in 2 months with the 37 firmware, including once yesterday. We'll see.

I can't update my phone, I'll goto the settings, and goto "Update Phone SW" and then it'll search, ask me if I wan to upgrade, I'll press "Yes" and it'll just go back to the main screen, any ideas?
