    verizon = the :devil:

    in v06 you can't even transfer the phonebook in bitpim.

    EDIT: atleast you can't in BT - I'll have a cable shortly to try that method

    lol.. I've been working there for almost a month now. So I'm not too sure about what V05 or V06 changed, but I could look in the release notes we get...

But, as of right now, I cannot NV Edit, or even attempt to "downgrade", because of a "CreateProcess error" that pops up after I try to enter the SPC code as "000000".

    BitPim won't even let me view filesystem. Sheesh.

    v04 was so wonderful... v06 appears to be even more locked down than v05.
    Whoa..almost wanted to up my white V05 to V06 on my phone... Getting conflicting results here. On another thread someone posted that they had no trouble at all using the 2.44.0 DLL to work with V06.

    I know V05 (in addition to the BitPim block) included some touchpad fixes and speakerphone fixes as well. The timing of the V06 release (seems like only a few weeks since V05) makes me think it only has the lockout and no actual enhancements.

    On a side note, I really like the look of the new themes "Rock n roll and Jazz", but all that animation seems to make commands 'lag' while using the phone. Did anyone else notice this too?

    Mine doesn't seem to lag, but I've been using the Rock n Roll theme the entire time I've had the phone, so maybe I'm just used to it. xD

    As for LG Download...tried searching for torrents?

    I finally figured out how to get NV edit start box to activate. Now a window pops up saying COM1: Download.

    Status Changing to DM mode but it gets hung up at 33%. I am using 1.3.9.7 LG download Program. One more question. Once I put it in NV mode do I have to do it everytime I want to get into BitPim or is a one time thing?

    Yes. Or you can flash to the V04 firmware where this restriction doesn't exist.

    I just went to v05 and now it seems I can't use any data services. What could cause this? It will over-the-air program (*228), but when I try to call out, it says Verizon cannot authenticate the phone.
