Question for you Blackberry guys.
Do you think using the BB Connect saves or uses more battery life then having the email client check your mail every 15-30 minutes?
Second, can you use BB Connect with the basic $5.99 T-Mobile Internet, or will I have to go for the $19.99 plan?
Third, on the email client on the E65 now, I can only download Headers, and have to reconnect to get the entire email message. There is no other setting. Does the BB Connect Push the entire email message?
Thanks

I'd like to know all this as well.Originally Posted by bothfly
It definitely saves battery running BBC. I"ve posted elsewhere that when running Mail for Exchange on my e70 the battery life barely got through the day. Once on BBC it the battery life greatly improved.Originally Posted by bothfly
You will need the $19.99 BIS plan or the $29.95 BES plan to get BBC to work on your device.
Alright, it looks like my E65 is not running the FW that BB Connect wants.Originally Posted by smfa1965
I have: 1.0633.18.01
It wants: 1.633.58.02
How did you get this FW on your E65?
Thanks
the only thing that i hate with E65 is that during a call and you need to use the keyboard and after that you CANNOT close the slide, if you do that the call will be disconnected...
I'm running the same FW as you: 1.0633.18.01Originally Posted by bothfly

Works for me. What happens when you load it on your phone, or doesn't it install?
Yes you can. Just his the left soft key and then quickly close the phone. Your call will remain active.Originally Posted by Phat^Trance

Can you place and receive calls with the slide down?
Also, will this type of 3g work with Cingular? Thanks
No. The E65 doesn't support "3G" on any of the radio frequencies licensed in the USA, including 1900MHz which is what Cingular is currently using. It's GSM-only in the USA.Originally Posted by Dang227

"BB software version is not authorized for use with your phone software version."
Give me the exact instructions.
First you used "Europe,Middle East, Africa as the Region?"
Second you used "Other" as the Operator?"
Third you selected "E65" as your phone model?
The BB Connect 7.1.1.4(.sisx file was downloaded. I used bluetooth to send the file to my E65. Ran the installer and no go.
What did I do wrong??
I did also download the BB Connect Desktop, but I didn't see how that had anything to do with installing the BB Connect on the E65.
