Info on ringers for LG phones

Don't know if someone already posted this info...but thanks to the developers and people of Gagin...I have successfully put ringers on my VX10 WITHOUT BREW or over the air transmissions.
(being on UScellular, they don't have data)

The directions are the same for the 4400s

Log into your phone via gagin (of course you will need a data cable and the latest balpatch)

Create directorys in your root in this order

    "user" (Without quotes)
In user, make the directory "sound" (no quotes)
In sound, make the directory "ringer" (again, no quotes)

Add your midi files to this folder (user/sound/ringer). Name them without the .mid at the end...the phone will still read them correctly.

Hope this helps at least someone

Your post certainly did help someone, it helped me! Thank you so much for sharing this information. I was missing one piece of the puzzle and when I read your post... all the pieces came together.

    Thank you, again!

You will most likely want to change the volume in a midi editor...for some reason, the phone plays "added" midi's alot softer.

Also, heh...I can't seem to add ringtones using balpatch9 any longer. It's been several months since I tried ...but came back here for something new and cannot get it to work even with my directions. ARGH!
