You say “Loudspeaker and the conversation record button are also always accessible.” Does this mean the user can toggle between loudspeaker and handset during a call by pressing the voice key?
You can switch as often as you like by a single press on the right soft key. Very useful!

Thanks, but does the right soft activate/deactivate the loudspeaker even within applications? For example, suppose I'm composing a text message. The command above the right soft key is "Close" on my N80, and it does not change to "Loudspeaker" during a call. So I must navigate to the standby screen for that option to be available on a soft key.

Just popped my sim in my E65 to figure this out. Apparently it's the same. Not sure what I was thinking other than the "MUTE" key being universally available in ANY application. The side key is just activates the record feature

Many thanks. Apparently, then, you can't activate the loudspeaker within a call unless you're at the standby screen. The 6682 had a dedicated button for this, which I miss every time I get a call while I'm working on an e-mail or something else.
i was curious to see if there's an e65i anytime soon and found this -- "The Nokia e65i has a full keyboard and is designed specifically for extensive mobile email use." http://seekingalpha.com/article/32872
someone might find this useful for whatever purpose . . .

It's a typographical error - he's talking about the E61i .....
Gentlemen, pls help..
i am having problem with the Nokia E65.
I can't seem to browse my sms or read my new sms after installing some 3rd party software (i.e. handy alarm, handy weather). I can go into the sms menu but unable to read the "new message". It just does not open. Any idea why?
I had also remove the programs that I had installed earlier but it does not seem to help. Tried switching OFF and ON and even tried removing the battery and re-installed them back. But none of it help. Any idea?
Pls help urgently...
Found out that it only happen if I switch the SMS to be saved onto the Memory Card. If I switch it back to Phone Memory it does work fine.
But previously it worked well even the SMS is in the Memory Card.
Any idea what happened? Anybody experienced before?
Any recommendations for sellers located in the U.S.? The item isn't yet available at most North American dealers. Dealers abroad are selling carrier-branded E65s. I'm wary of Ebay because you can't be sure of what you're getting until it arrives, in terms of branding and language, despite the description and photos. Shall I take a trip to the New York flagship store?
I'm interested in the mocha version, unbranded and of course unlocked.
"Just Got My E65 Over The Weekend Bought It In Hte Us.
Took It To Jamaica The Sales Man Said It Will Work, Tried It With My Carrier Digicel Logo Comes Up, Picks Up Signal But When You Try To Make A Call- It Gives You Connection Error. "
Any solution? My N95 operates on the 900 and 1800 mhz frequencies, which is what Digicel uses. But I'm getting the same problem as you.

I heard some providers are requiring IMEI registration for their phones, mandated by some governments for tax purposes. I know Turkey is a country that does this.

Add Iran to it, they increased the tax from 4% to 60% overnight. Phones not brought in from official channels don't get activated. They use IMEI registeration.
"Kentucky seeks to execute in a relatively humane manner and has worked hard to adopt such a procedure," Kentucky Attorney General Gregory Stumbo has said.
