Yes. It's a solid battery. I charge mine every night and by the end of the night I have about 2-3 bars left.

I have BB connect running 24/7, send out about 10-30 sms a day, talk for about 1-2 hrs/day, play games for 20/40min (train ride to & from work), browse the web (10-20min) and listen to MP3s for 1-3 hrs/day as well

I agree. To me, it's just a tad slower than my 6270, but it's way faster than my first foray into a S60 handset, namely the 6630.

Nokia recommends installing their (free) SMS Accelerator, which can be downloaded from the Support pages of most official Nokia websites.

    lol

    funny you say that because:

1.) I shouldn't have to install an "SMS ACCELERATOR" on a phone released months after the program was released for all the existing handsets
2.) Nokia doesn't even have a version available for the E65 so I'm assuming that it comes built in (should be a good thing).

Regardless, I installed the E70-2 version on my phone and didn't notice anything.

I'm at a loss for words. Maybe there is an 'SMS accelerator for the E65' in the works but if there is I'll be a little dissapointed as per reason #1.

I'm hoping the first firmware upgrade that's released will solve all my woes from the slow sms to the malfunctioning dedicated mute/address book/own keys.

    Here's to hoping...

    You're right.

I had to the SMS accelerator for my E50 before the new firmware came out. When the firmware came out, it was all inclusive. I don't believe you need this accelerator anymore.

That's a logical assumption. My bad!

I don't have those problems. My only disappointment with the E65 is the tiny, unchangeable font size used for SMS texting, particularly on a "business" phone which is presumably targeted at those of us who are <cough> "40 something".

I installed the Nuance Zoom program which came with the CDROM, but it's not my cup of tea, and I'd simply prefer being able to change font sizes just like I can on my 6270.

Apart from the font size, I love my E65!

Does your address book / own key / mute key work 100% of the time?

If so, what firmware do you have because several other users have shared the same concern I have with them failing to work at random times:

Press *#0000# to find firmware. Thanks

On my e65 the "address book / own key / mute key" work 100% of the time. I never had a problem with them. My phone is running the exact same firmware as yours.

Yes, no problems. My firmware is:

    1.0633.18.01
    11-01-07
    RM-208

Sounds like you may have a hardware problem!

Couldn't be just mine though. There's at least 3 other ppl reporting the exact same issue in that other thread I linked.

Since we all have the same firmware, it's either a 3rd party application, some setting, or a hardware issue thats causing the problem..

Does this phone let you edit the Active Standby, or is that for fp1 only?
