    hiptop 3 on tmobile

ok so heres the deal, my dad says as soon as i get a job he will allow me to switch to t-mobile, and pay for the sidekick plan. but, thatl proly be in about a month or so, considerin i havent applied anywhere yet. and im to lazy to wait, so i know that i can purchase an unlocked sidekick 3 on ebay and use it on cingular ( withought data) and then switch it over to tmobile with the official plan and add data to it. but on ebay ive found an unlocked hiptop 3 cheaper than a t-mobile branded sidekick 3. would t-mobile allow me to activate the hiptop 3 with there sidekick plan. and one more question about the plan. i understand its 29.99 a month for internet, texting , and IM, but what about calling, do i need to add a plan for that? thanks

You'd need to flash the device so that the appropriate firmware is on it -saddly I do not know how to do this

hardware wise the hardware is the same hiptop = sidekick, however each carrier has their own firmware versions

In terms of rate plans, th $29 plan is for data only. With that plan, minutes are charged per minute. (I believe 15 cents/min)
You can apply a $20 data plan to almost any monthly rate (minutes) plan with your sidekick.
i am looking to buy an nokia e70-2.. let me know if you have one for sale!

Hiptop 3 is on Suncom only. Fido has discontinued selling hiptops.
