Need wiring diagram for syn1301 stereo headset adapter
I would like to build a stereo headset adapter like the Mot SYN1301 for my motorcycle helmet. It would be helpful to have a schematic or wiring diagram of the SYN1301, otherwise I'll have butcher my own adapter. Does anyone have a schematic for the SYN1301? I am mainly interested in how the earphones, mic and switch are connected to the miniUSB.
Funny you should ask that...my first headset like this just crapped out on me and i'm in the process of fixing the circuit board where the mic is. Soon as I get a few minutes, I'll let you know.
PS: Isn't it kinda dangerous to listen to music through headphones whilst driving? Especially a motorcycle?!
If I mount the phones inside the helmet, and keep the volume at reasonable level it's no different than listening in your car. Thanks for your response. If you don't have a schematic for the circuit board, something showing what wire goes where would be helpful. I can give you an email address if needed.
I really don't want to recreate the circuit board. I actually don't know what the circuit does (does it amplify or is it just switches?), so I don't know if I need it. I can purchase a helmet headset that includes two speakers, a mic and a PTT switch. I need a diagram that I can use to wire up the helmet pieces to a mini USB plug. If the circuit board is necessary, I'll cut that out of my SYN1301 and wire that in too. Does that make sense?
you know, I bought a new assessory pack from cingular but I will map out the circuitboard sometime this week. And jsmithepa is right...there is some amplification going on in that board.
