Firmware 11
Has Siemens removed their firmware downloads from the developers village? I went to the site to get firmware 11, and I couldn't find the download buttons. Has this been discussed before, or am I missing something?

Can you update the firmware over bluetooth?
Also, if you update the firmware to firmware 11, will it erase all of the current settings and files on the phone?

Only through cable.
I've never have any of my Siemens mobiles upgraded, but I don't think you loose any files, contacts etc... I'm not sure about settings (wap etc..)

Do you have AIM/MSN/ICQ/Y? If so, you could send the file to me that way, then I can put it up on my website for everyone else to download.

Usually all settings are not erased when doing f/w upgrades on the Siemens s55. IMO a definate plus when I have upgraded f/w in other mobile fones of mine in the past I lost everything I had stored on the fone. On one of the upgrades I did on the s55 the wap settings were reset but thats it... everything else remained. Good luck with the upgrade MitzEclipse

Mantis unfortunately this forum in particular does not seem to have a moderator which is a shame. I have seen this Siemens grow alot over the past few months and I only see it getting bigger and better. yeah I wanted to start a request thread for tones and other media including java apps that was removed... with regards to piracy and what not which is understandable it was a miscommunication and the java which I had intended was made independantly... that situation has been dealt with in a positive manor but the thing that everyone seems to ask for is tones... so I still want to make a thread to do that where we can all swap tones and make requests and if I get a go ahead to do I think it would be great and many people in here would like that. One of my ideas... but that's for the forumites choice to like or not... and you are right when the s56 and sx1 are out there will be alot of new users in here. Even with the other Siemens fones... there is a great number of people diving into Siemens so this place is just gonna get bigger which is a good thing tho.
