I'll await for your response, as I wouldn't want to risk screwing up my VCAST music on my VZW native L7c. Very good news, however... it should be similar, if not the same, as the monster2 tutorial for the K1m.

Is this LBS enabled? (and how do you check, anyway?)

Edit: LBS - Location-based service http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Location-based_service
In this case, LBS enabled is another way of saying that VZ Navigator will work on this firmware.

Sorry for the late response, dinner with friends. So far, it's flashed and can send and receive calls. I'm apply all the fixes now.

Also, anyone know why when I try to reload the ERI it errors out on me and tells me it doesn't support it? I'm using PST 7.2.5...

Can't get MMS or GIN to work. GIN gives me error code 554 and MMS just hangs at 0%.. Mobile Web works though (VZW Gateway).. I'll report back later.

On 2742 seem:
Offset 42, bit 5 - off, disables ERI -- set to on

To show the actual ERI try:
Offset 59, Bit 6 - on = Show ERI banner when in home area

To the T.. I've successfully flashed a few e815s, v3c/m, krzr and have always followed the guide. I even did a master reset.. I'm gonna keep reading around.

A couple of questions before I flash mine:
Does Buetooth OBEX/OPP and MPT work w/ the usual edits w/ no restrictions? -- e.g. ringtone transfer from/to the phone?
Do you have USB connection options in the menu?
How is the media player on this firmware? Better than V3c/V3m?

Edit: The GIN error might be related to wrong HA/AAA secrets. For the MMS error, it might be that the the MMS settings are not set to use the VZW_MMS browser profile, or that the seem that references the uaprof details is incorrect (using Cricket's, instead of VZW's)
