b/c I know it will be asked later...it will be easier to be seen at the top so it doesnt get asked tons of times:
any key features that would want us to use this instead of alltel?
I assume it has LBS like its VIVO V3c counterpart.Originally Posted by Cincyball
If it's like other VIVO firmwares then it should support LBS services and therefore be able to run NZNavigator if everything else works. I think that is the primary reason why folks are experimenting with them.

I know that this is jumping the gun (and asking a lot). I am so excited to see this firmware be released. I just have one request for all the hard workers out there, an updated flashing guide. I was following the thread on the VIVO V3c and the steps became piece meal and kinda hard to follow.
Thanks
Just Finishing Flashing with this two times. Once was the way I have been following on the orginal VIVO v3c Firmware and the second following the Monster2 Step by Step but using Airplane Mode. Both times giving me the same result GIN, Mobile Web, and MMS all not working. I am going to try a third time with my service switched over to my v3c.
Somethings I noticed about this firmware that seem alittle different from its v3c counter part. One this is that something in my edited seem from my v3c VIVO caused GIN to lock up the phone completely. Also there is no apply as ringtone option for a mp3. And a few menu items are available by default that were not there by default in the v3c firmware.
when the hell did they release the v3m lool
As soon as someone gets a chance, could you verify whether or not the mp3 player displays id3 tags? I hate that the alltel fw doesn't. Thanks in advance.
Small update on getting this firmware up and running. There is some kind of seem edit that is interfering with Data services. I currently have everything working in 1x mode but not in EVDO. I was pretty confused for a while because it was giving me a different error than I was use to when I was doing something wrong, so i took a guess and loaded up the Alltel v3c edited seem from the cdma seem pack and it fixed the problem pretty weird.
EDIT***
seem 2742 offset 58 bit 2 unchecked fixes data problems
Don't know what it was doing but that fixed it.

this rules!
I'm downloading now
can't wait to try it...
Moto USB HD mma_ucp and mma_dcp for alltel work for this firmware, besides its already there before you load up the V3M_Systemfiles
Quick question, can anyone confirm one way or the other if this flash will fix the issue of the txt msg delivery confirmation issue we have when using the Alltel flash.
Hello All,
A quick update before I run off to work.
I got it up and running first try without breaking data!
Just downloaded vcast. GIN and WAP both work in 1x. I'll be in EVDO area later and report back.
Haven't tried mms, sms, or vznav yet...
Switched from Alltel straight to Vivo on my v3m.
Did-
1. Backup everything as per monster 2 plus seem 01d2, rec 2, 7a bytes.
2. Flash Vivo and leave phone off for steps 3, 4, 5.
3. Restore system.p2kc script from v3m system files zip archive.
4. Restore /DMU/10.key
5. Restore QPST programming after using 01d2 from step 1 above to set HA and AAA secrets and editing other fileds in mobile IP tab to enable profile 0 and delete profile 1!
6. Start the phone and immediately put into airplane mode (menu,7,5,down,menu).
7. Open p2kseem and open 2742 , rec 0001 00 bytes. Make all manditory edits from monster 2 plus do-
2742 offset 0042 bit 5 on
offset 007d bits 0,2,7 on
offset 0018 bit 5 on
8. Restore PST files as per monster 2 plus your rtt browser file from alltel.
9. Restore all saved Seems except 2742.
10. switch ui to english (settings->initial setup->...)
11. reboot and take out of airplane mode!
If I missed anything, I'll post more later.
