I got it working minus the WAP so far, I can't edit the WaP proxies, its not listed for me. My data got hosed and I didn't back up the HA and AAA, I did a *22899 and it all works now. On GIN now with "3G" connection, assuming its the EV?

If the web session is not showing up in the hidden programming menu try typing ##BROWSER ( ie ##2769737)and it should bring it up so you can add the free wap proxy info

^^^ Monster 2 is the flash guide Mark_V has on his site for flashing using the Monster files. It is an updated guide from the first write he had on his site.

Oh yea nevermind to my prior question. Someone over at Hacktherazr flashed with this file and the txt msgs delivery confirmation issue still exists using this flash file.

You did a *228 and everything is working? Trying adding a skin in p2k. I remember that if you did a *228 on the v3c VIVO firmware it would fix things sometimes but it would do something to the file system and p2k would lock up when you tried to read it.

Oh and about the WAP anything but the VZW proxy doesn't stick for some reason. But you can add them in the secret menu but first do 2742 offset 18 check bit 5 to re-able the Web Sessions menu.

Did you have to do them seem edit that I posted earlier that was messing up my data? Or is this something only I had to do. Because i have tested it a bunch on times checking the bit and restarted the phone and data doesn't work uncheck it and restart the phone now everything works.

    Hell All,
A note about my previous post-
I flashed straight from Alltel to Vivo. If you are flashing from VZW do not follow these instructions! Many things will be different if flashing from VZW. ( You will not have to do step 5. as this is an undoing of the alltel mobile IP fix, but you'll have to follow the monster 2 guide more as the QPST and PST config files from the Alltel flash carry over a lot of fixes(RTT Browser/MMS/etc...).

But I have to say that flashing from alltel to vivo on the v3m was a breeze!

Also, while I've not downloaded VZNav yet. It does appear this firmware is LBS enabled from test mode. (I can see the satellites from a GPS session, same as on VZW firmware.)

    hope this helps,
    kernelpanic

[edit] A couple of minor things-
    1. I've got no browser icon since replacing the mma_ucp file, so I'm thinking the name of the file is different. When I get some time tonight I'll either find the old icon file in one of my backups or rename it in the menu to the icon I've got...
    2. The openwave splash screen is branded. No biggie, it can be unbranded (and probably will be soon on my handset ).
    [/edit]

    [EDIT] Progress Report
The icon issue I resolved by renaming the icons in /motorola/system/
    wap_animated.gif becomes web_access_mm_anime.gif
    wap_appmark.gif becomes web_access_mm_icn.gif
    wap_static.gif becomes web_access_mm_list.gif

    easy fix...
    [/EDIT]

I'm assuming it is just the alltel mma_ucp he posted in the usb drive thread he started a while back. I think he just renamed the icons to what they were on alltel and used his existing mma_ucp.

    Bushe,
Null is right. I renamed the icons on the phone to the names in the previous post. Those names come from the alltel mma_ucp...

Meanwhile I'm running into something else. I went ahead and downloaded vznav. But I haven't been able to get it running as of yet.
The Server IP and port were in Brasil. But when I looked at these on my VZW firmware a while back, it was all zero's.
    Neither setting works...
    I get a timed out...try again[26] error!
This is with location priveleges enabled and time format set to 12 hr.

Seems like it's not talking to the PLE server. I'll keep trying at least until the subscription expires...

I was agreeing with him just stating that on my phone i didn't have to rename anything because it just worked for me.

I just got everything working with EV I don't think I could be anymore happier with my phone at this point.

    hello all,
Been playing with it some more. Still haven't gotten vznav to work

    So a question-
Has anyone flashed from alltel to this firmware on their v3m and succesfully used the 'where am I?' on vznav?

I'm thinking that I either needed to flash back to VZW, then to vivo directly OR I've got some configuration issues.

If anyone does have this firmware running VZNav successfully, can you post your 2742 SEEM? I've got a limited amount of time to hack this as VZNav expires tonight.

(I tried the one posted above, but it hangs the handset when I start GIN...)

    TIA,
    kernelpanic

    verything but VZNav works, LOL...

    Hello All,

Here's where I am now with this firmware-

    1x works
    EVDO works
    GIN works
MMS works (sending to or receiving from an email address, havent tried to a phone yet)
    SMS works
    Skins work

NVNav times out trying to get my location! The LBS part of the phone seems to work fine. I can start a GPS session, see what satellites the handset has a signal from and the signal strength. (This is not possible on the Alltel firmware, but is possible on VZW firmware.)

If I go into test mode while using VZNav I can even see the running GPS session for a sec before the <clr> from the <clr><left softkey> combo kills VZNav...

But the handset seems unable to locate or contact the PDE server. So the satellite data is not getting to VZW, or the calculated coordinates aren't getting back to the handset. (I suspect the first...) It's possible that if I flashed straight from VZW to Vivo it would work. But I'd hate to flash it again with everything else working so well, so fast.

Anyone with any ideas? I'm all ears at this point.
