Yes, that was where I first met him in the USENET newsgroup in the late '90s. And, I was among the few who has figured out the real ID of John Helmsley. Since then, we become good friends - especially this two years as I have spent more time in Toronto than in Vancouver. He was one of the guys I hanging with.

Unreal, isn't it? I thought that I have heard it wrong when his wife cried and told me about the loss of Barry. I wish I can be there in Canada right now... I am just too far away and too long to be back.

My condolences to his family and friends as well...It's sad to hear that he had a heart attack while playing hockey... as I too also play roughly 3 days a week. I will surely miss his info and presence along with his no fear of "THE WHITE VAN".
