From Moo Moo land, I don't have a problem with CDMA.
I was talking about GSM when I travel out of this CDMA world.
For that matter, out of US and South Korea. :-)
I occasionally travel to Thailand, and it's pain in the *** if you have to pay $1.29 per min to call somebody in same city, and you know you only have to pay 2 THB - in US currency, about 6 cents - using local pre-paid SIM.
I don't mind to have Verizon Service roaming to have data connectivity - BB email access - , but for voice call, I like to have option to use which number - for that manner, which SIM - for calling.
By the way, I live in Moo Moo Land, but why the milk in this Moo Moo Land is not cheap, and not tasty, either? Though we have nice ice-cream place.

I think that means that some VZW store finally received some stock of BB8830 to sell on or after May 14th for business channel.
So they have real BB8830 on their hands. :-)
I guess I have to wait for my NE2, which is due for this December. T_T
But who knows? Maybe VZW may have camera phone version of BB8830 around that time.
I don't carry Digital Camera always, so having camera option will be handy when you have some accident or something like that.
Also, I occasionally use my cellphone camera to take the picture of equipment damage or installation status, so it's good for business use. :-)

I wonder if this will be followed by a model with a camera in the next few months. I know one is rumored for the GSM market. And RIM is definitely moving towards the prosumer/consumer with devices like the Pearl and Curve.
VZW_CSR, when you get your 8830 -- can you please post some impressions of the device and pictures of it? i'm curious what the silver color looks like in real life as opposed to the marketing photos going around.
i went to see an 8800 in person today and was actually impressed by the feel and the keyboard wasn't bad. i'm going to switch to verizon next week and get the 8830 if initial impressions are positive.
also, to anybody -- what kind of shipping does vzw use from the website? can i order on thursday and have it by saturday? and getting a new york number and having it shipped to florida where i currently am shouldn't be a problem? i know they allow this by having a different shipping address from billing, but turning the phone on and activating it for the first time shouldn't matter where i am - correct?

I did the same thing a couple weeks ago. I went over to the local AT&T Wireless store to check out the 8800, I was impressed.

VZW uses FedEx. I think there is a next day with Saturday delivery available, not sure on the cost though.
