That's what they are telling me too. Just called the local store, it's being released "online" and all on the 28th. Only way you can get it now, is business account .
How is the news that the phone is available to business accounts only today, and the 28th for everyone else any different than what has been reported all along?
when i called yesterday i got a rep that told me i'd be able to call and order it today and i made no comments alluding to being a business account. maybe if you find some misinformed rep you can get lucky?
i'm going to give it a shot and call a few times later. i just sold my alltel krzr and don't want to be stuck using an old phone for the next two weeks before i switch.
seems you must have a commercial account. I dialed the b2b phone number, they were very helpful, sounded like they would let me do it, transferred me to another rep, and was told "no"....tried the international support folks as well, since I have the Canadian plan, but again, got back to a rep who told me my account wouldn't allow this phone to be purchased for another 2 weeks.
Just spoke with a CSR, she is VERY persistent about getting this phone to me. She said her memos state it's being released today for Internet sales for existing customers only. When I told her it's not showing up on me NE2 upgrade page, she tried calling marketing and internet sales, neither had a clue. She said she'd call me back after talking with her supervisor. When she did, she said the Internet Marketing dept. that handles new releases is in California, so the phone may not be released until later this afternoon when they open. Her supervisor also said the phone MIGHT be delayed, and they can push back phone release dates if they claim a problem with its release. She kept saying she wanted to get this phone to me and she "felt bad." She even put a reminder to call me before she leaves for the day as soon as she receives any more information. Best CSR I've ever encountered at VZW!
I was just able to order the device through customer service. It has to be sent to the supervisor so they can do the overnight shipping but the unit shows as instock and available for sale WOOHOO i cant wait. I have them calling me back just to confirm that the order goes through. I told them i had spoken to someone in buisness sales who was going to sell it but his system wouldnt allow him to sell it at full retail so he transfered me to regular CS to do it. Hope this helps. oh and the rep said it comes with a leather case is this true?

What # did you call? Did you use the business one up top? hell I will give you my phone # if you can call me and tell me exactly what you did to get it.
i just called regular customer support told them i spoke to someone in buisness sales that said they could sell me the device but not at full retail. told them that the buisness guy said regular customer support were the only ones that could sell it at full retail
SOOoo I try every which way possible to squeeze through the cracks to get this phone. I finally got through it seemed like until the end of the call he says "let me contact my global technical support to make sure I can even sell this phone or if they have to because it's a global phone." He ends up putting me on hold for like 5 mins and says he will call me back..

Supposedly no one, not even business people can order the phone because of this freeze and mess up in the software. How true this is I am not 100% sure but it seemed pretty legit. Supposedly issues like these are fixed within 48-hours he says but the world tech people told him it could be until the end of the week. He said the tech people have his name / number / email and will contact him as soon as they know something and they will call me asap..
