probably not since the GSM radio will be off when you're on verizon's CDMA network.

i have 7130e, that the job pays for.

can i just get the 8830 and activate it with out having to change the current plan?

I saw the 8830 last week in a meeting and let me tell you.. grroowwwll.. I can't wait to ditch my 8703.. it's oh so sexy and the keyboard is amazing

You can buy it for full retail and activate it. It will work.

Yes indeed, the only reason you'd need to change your plan is to get the global data. If you're just using it domestically, then you'll be fine.

Does anyone know if you will be able to separate out BES email from the main inbox? A co-worker has a Pearl and even though BIS email (Yahoo) has it's own mailbox, the Yahoo mail still goes to the overall mailbox. We couldn't figure out how to separate the BES email out from the overall mailbox so it's mixed in with her Yahoo mail.

I'm looking at the 8830 but I get a lot of corporate email and I want to be able to separate it out from my Yahoo mail from BIS.

On my 7130e I have multiple e-mail addresses, and yes, they all come into one box, but they also come into separate boxes as well. There is the messages icon, and then each mailbox has its own icon as well that shows only the e-mail that came from that account.

On the Pearl that is true for all email accounts except the BES corporate email. Are you using a BES? Does have its own icon?

At the moment I'm set up through BIS, probably won't be set up on a BES until I get my 8830.

From what I have been told last month from my Corperate rep. you will be able to seperate your email inboxes and text messages. Supposedly it will have the option to do it either way. Also I heard that they will not be coming out with the black until they see if this phone sells as well as it is supposed to. Pricing is speculated to be similar to the Moto Q on a new 2yr.

Will this phone have voice command abilities on it? I have a bluetooth handsfree car kit, and to have that feature would make things infinitely easier.
