i got my 903sh today, and it doesnt get past the intro screen without restarting... so i was wondering if there was any last things i should try (which i dont think the owner knew about) to try and revive this thing before i send it for flashing? and also, im gonna send the phone to timsta, does anyone know anyone else that has good firmware? if not, then can anyone give me a rundown on timsta's firmwares? like the hybrid or his non-reprovisioning firmware? and if anyone knows about them all, then explain about them all?

ok, ill flash it, but i have no idea where to go/who to send it to...and i just found out that my phone is a december 2005 model!!! i investigated more, and even opened it up, and there isnt any internal damage. but the phone restarts within 20 seconds. if i dont skip the intro, the does the jingle once, then restarts. if i skip it, i have and 5 seconds to do anything i want with the phone. once i tried jamming on the camera button and managed to take a picture. so does anyone know someone in hawaii that can get the phone flashed? i wanted the japanese firmware, or the hybrid firmware, or anyone that can type in japanese and display japanese. also, what is this power+8 trick im hearing about?
Hawaii O.O
yeah...hawaii....and nobody seems to know what the 903sh is...i called the biggest cell phone chain store in hawaii, and the person who answered the phone thought i was talking about a samsung O_o
well, i decided i am gonna buy the cable and flash it myself (thanks to another forum that has the flash data). anyone have any tips on this? and would timsta be willing to sell me his japan-no reprovision firmware![]()
what about sending it to iunlock to reflash? Expensive from hawaii? Ace sent his to unlock and I sent my 802sh (which had japanese firmware and flashed to euro) and we had no problems.
I also tried locally in my area trying to unlock/flash the 802sh, found a few places but they were expensive compared to iunlock. And most didnt know what the 802sh was
but are their firmwares innovative like timsta's? like his no reprovision firmware or hybrid firmwares? or are they just the standard unlocked firmwares? because if they are then i rather just buy the USBsmart cable and flash it myself, since i have experience in flashing...also found out i dont need to do testpoint, since my december 2005 model has a IMEI of 00/0 in the middle, showing its a early december model. guess i lucked out there![]()
oh ok, I think its just a regular firmware, b/c ace just unlocked it and didnt change the firmware, most likely it is a regular firmware with unlock.
I guess you lucked you with the early dec model. mine is a hybrid tw/hk firmware (no games and no red bar unless in the gallary menu) with the first month build date.
yeah...then i think ill just buy the cable for the 903sh (its $23 something) and just flash it with the files i have. but anyone have any tips to do this? or is the talk of flashing not allowed here?
BTW is anyone here intrested in trading/buying my samsung t809 flash cable? looking for $15 or trade for the 903sh flash cable...
alright, just talked to timsta on aim, seems that he will only do local deals now, but we did talk about something called multitotalserver. i know what it is, so i was wondering, if i bought credits, would i be able to keep the firmware, or is it like a serversided only thing, where it goes from them to straight to your phone?
and do i have a choice over which firmware i get? but if nobody knows about that, then anyone know who can do it for me in/around the island of Oahu,Hawaii? really wanna get the phone fixed before the 28th.
CommanderZero,
i think you mean TotalMultiServer - ace587 has used it so he can better advise.
Talking about flashing on HoFo is ok, Unlocking isn't.
As for having someone else do the flashing, are there any Asian cellphone stores? Considering Hawaii has a large Asian community I would expect there to be some that service these phones they get from Asia... no?
i think ace only used tms for sony ericsson flashing like putting a vodafone firmware on his z520a that was from suncom. He sent his 903sh to iunlock since his cable was broken and didnt want to risk bricking it

his cable was broken? he never mentioned that to me....
and branding a z520a... man thats hardcore... considering the step most ppl take is to debrand their phones... vodafone firmware isn't something you want on your phone unless youre either stuck with it, or have a moto where you can modify it extensively (another reason to own a moto! and dont snub me, i have my fair share of likes and dislikes.)
nope, the once place that even knew what the 903sh is doesnt do it. they used to, but not anymore. and the way they did it was by sending it to china to get it flashed. even if they were still doing it i dont think i would let them...i tried calling every phone store in the phone book (except for the tmobile/cingular/verizon ones of course) and about those guys at imobile, are they trustable? and do they have any special firmwares like timsta does? or is it just regular firmwares? i kinda like the HK firmware, i think to get a full background you just resize the image to fit...but the only thing i dont like is that id like to be able to type/display in japanese...anyone have any ideas?
BTW that reminds me of something funny, one of the stores i called asking about flashing the 903sh...they thought i was talking about a samsung. it was like:
me: do you guys do flashing for the 903sh?
her: 903sh? samsung?
me: no, 903sh. sharp.
her: idk, i didnt hear of that phone, youre talking about a samsung right?
me: uh....nvm.
