I sent an e-mail to SE UK and asked them about the compatibility of the DBA-10 with the T300. Here's what they said:
------Original Message-------------
Product: Bluetooth Phone Adapter DBA-10
Opinion: Will this Adapter work with a T300? I am running Firmware R1B008.
I would like to use the adapter if the T300 will support it. I have made
several inquiries but haven't received a definite yes or no answer. If it
is compatible with the T300, what do I need to do to get it to work with the
T300? Or is there another OEM Bluetooth adapter accessory which will work?
Country: United Kingdom
Their reply:
Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson.
Regarding your enquiry concerning the DBA-10 Bluetooth adapter, I can advise
you that this accessory is not fully compatible with the T300 handset.

Not fully compatible? Is there such a thing? I thought something could only be compatible or not compatible not somewhere in the middle unless the DBA-10 would enable some but not all Bluetooth capabilities with the T300.
Does anyone have some insight?
Thanks

No problem Varunreddy.
That's a cool avatar by the way. Was there an actual Simpson's Episode with Homer playing a secret agent?

I would assume it means that the support for the adapter is not built into the fw. How ever you might still be able to use a headset with it.

Thanks LostTexan, that's all I'd really want to do. Strangely enough, I haven't seen it anywhere here in London yet. What is/was it going for in the USA?Originally posted by LostTexan

I also had a followup response from SE today, this one came across a little blunt lol:

Dear recipient,
Thank you for your reply. How is it not fully compatible with the T300? Is
this hardware or firmware related? If the DBA-10 is not compatible, is there
currently a Bluetooth adapter designed for the T300 or will there be one
released for the new T300s series (T300, T310) etc?
Thank you for your time,

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson.
Regarding your enquiry concerning your Sony Ericsson T300, the DBA-10
adapter cannot be used with the handset as it is not Bluetooth compatible.
This phone simply was not intended to be used with this product. I apologise
for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Please contact us again if we can be of any further assistance or visit our

--------My Reply to SE UK's reply:------------
Thank you for your reply. If the DBA-10 is not compatible with the T300,
what is its purpose? I thought that the DBA-10's purpose was to add
Bluetooth capability to SE/Ericsson phone which do not have Bluetooth. The
T28 series which the DBA-10 was designed for does not have built-in
Bluetooth and with the DBA-10, this makes the T28 series compatible right?
I don't mean to sound critical, I just don't understand the purpose of
marketing an accessory which is supposed to make a non-compatible phone
series (such as the T300 series) compatible with something which is built-in
in the r520m, T39 and T68m/i. Could I please have some clarifiction about
this?
Are there any plans to release a Bluetooth-capable adapter for the new
releases (T300/T310/T610 etc)?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So now this make me wonder if SE is even considering releasing a Bluetooth adapter which will be compatible with the new 2003 lineup where the phones (T300/T306/T310 etc) do not have Bluetooth built-in. Does anyone have any more info?
Thanks to everyone for all of your input

So there it is. I will look into this possibility and see if the DBA-10 is indeed still available here in London as well as get a firmware upgrade to see if it will work with the T300. I will post an update once I decide on this.
Thanks for checking in everyone,
