My first theme - Night Tree

Artwork is completely mine (corel painter XI). The msg sound is also recorded by me, about 15 minutes ago outside my house. I did some noise reduction to get a plane flying by in the distance out. Let me know what you guys think about it

I tried to make it so that there's enough contrast to be able to text easily.

It looks pretty good, but you need to do some work either on this one or the next one. The select or unselect need to be something other than a plain block, and the highlights need to be something other than a solid color. You can create them to be transparent using pretty much any picture editor. mTC will let you create transparent and blurred pictures for the standby screen.

It looks pretty good, but like I said, a little work and you could make that one heck of a nice theme.

Not sure if you actually ran it on your phone, but on mine i just noticed that the contacts look a bit different, better actually haha.

Thanks for your critique though. I was honestly just rushing to put it together once i got the main colors and so on.

I didn't want to come across as being mean to you, or saying anything bad about your theme. I would like to help if I can.

This is a theme that I did using mTC and a program called ToyViewer for the Mac. I did use stuff from other themes, so I will not be releasing this theme as my own. I only tweaked it to my liking.

I used MTC also. It took a while to get the hang of everything. and I'm also on a mac so i'll take a look at toyviewer

And i didn't take your comments as mean. I value your critique.

I have a tendency to download themes made by others, and change a few things around to how I would have done it. I don't release these themes, because technically they are not mine. My first theme was an absolute joke in comparison to how they look now. I had no concept of how mTC worked, and I would rush them trying to get them done so quickly. After a while, you will see what works, and what doesn't, as far as coloring and the opacity of pictures goes.

I really like the colors in the wallpaper used for that theme. Very calming and cool looking.

Yes that is what I do with my themes as well. It seems every theme I come across is not "perfect" in my eyes. Theres always something that annoys me that I have to go fix to get it to my own liking.
