Yo, WM6 is much better. You really need to tweak it and remove some of the applciations that start up like My5 if you don't have the service through T-Mobile. My Dash files because of the multiple tweaks I did. Look here for really great tweaks that will speed up your device...Originally Posted by neggie

DON'T DO THE FATFS TWEAK which is the second one in the speed increase tweak.

Hmm... well, I got and applied the update, but now my Dash is in a constant reboot loop. It plays the T-Mobile boot sound and shows the boot screen... shows the new Windows Mobile screen and then reboots over and over. I made a backup of my phone, but I can't even get to it since the phone keeps rebooting. Any ideas? Maybe a hard reset? I tried the "hold the 2 soft keys and power the phone on" thing, but that doesn't do anything...
Update -- Well, removing the microSD card let me boot the phone fine... we'll see, heh. Strange.

Oh I don't so I can't help you with that. I don't think MyFaves is slowing down your device as much as Voice Command. But try out those tweaks first but be careful. Its still the Registry.Originally Posted by neggie

Took the plunge and everything worked great. Had the same problem others have had and had to restart the install due to the phone losing the connection the PC.
TMCP works fine on my phone. Just got done adding all the programs I use to run the iPhone skin and everything seems to work great.
Really don't seem much difference in WM6 compared to WM5 and to me it its just a service pack to WM5. I'm guessing that's why it will be a free download on May 4th. We all know if it was really a new OS, that Windows would make us pay for it to make the most money.

Guys,
1.changing HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\InC all2 to 0 don't work for me(getting rid off Beep that Occurs When a Call Is Initiated), anybody tried?
2.i can't find reg hack to get rid of the message sent sound notification (i don't mind notification just sound), i had it, now i don't remember what's the reg path.
3. how to get rid od my faves from startup?
thanks
I am not sure why some folks diss this upgrade as "marginal" or "service pack"-like. Built-in Voice Command plus Pocket Office makes it a fantastic upgrade in an of itslef, and the price is certainly right![]()
Hey JAmerican, what homescreen is that? T-Mobile Blue or T-Mobile Default Blue?
Cause I want to remove Myfaves from my homescreen..Anyway do that? I want it just like you have it.
Thanks a lot for posting a link to my site. I don't have a Digg account.Originally Posted by Svoms
