WM6 does NOT let you create new word documents in Smartphone OS. You can only edit them. But on the PocketPC versions you can create new. WM7 will combine both Smartphone and Pocketpc versions together into one OS.

Installed it, all is well, have not got a chance to explore what's new though. Thanks for sharing!

Or as others have pointed out, all you need to do is keep a copy of a blank DOC and a blank XLS file around. Then make a copy of whichever when you want a new document.

It really is such a stupid "limitation", one wonders at these kinds of annoyances that MS dreams up...

Was anyone able to make the speed change to GLYPHCACHE? I did the unlock and use the registry edit program. It lets me type in 32768, but when I click Done it says Unable to Perform Operation?

Also still looking for a re-map of the t-zone button to task manager.

    1. Make a shortcut of the application that you want to replace the t-zones button application (e.g. Pocket Explorer) using ActiveSync's Explore function
    2. Drag the shortcut copy to the desktop
    3. Make two copies of that shortcut.
    4. Rename one copy: pie
    5. Rename second copy: short_ie
    6. Drag both copies back to the windows folder on the device and replace the original shortcut files

    No device reset is necessary.

If you haven't already checked it out, we've already done work (including the tweak above) tweaking the WM6 Beta release at XDA forums. Many of these will be applicable for the WM6 Final release. Here's a direct link to the wiki:

Now for the first and the most critical problem: Outlook exchange no longer work. The strange thing is it worked right after the upgrading and got all my email down to the phone. Now I get:

The security certificate on the server is not valid. Contact your Exchange Server administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server.

    Support Code:80072f06

I'm using exchange.1and1.com. If I uncheck "This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection", then works fine.

No more push, this is too stupid.

When setting up an email account (like Gmail/Yahoo) it works fine, but when I check an email on the Dash, it still shows as unread when Checking the same email on the computer. Anyway to have it so it shows as already read?
