It's because of the EVRC-B codec that is now being used for 1X CDMA that does not allow us to convert the file. No program I have seen converts it and not even Verizon will convert like it used to when we sent it as a MMS.

I've given up... I don't see how it's possible anymore.

    Wirelessly posted (Steve's phone: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Teleca Q7; Brew 3.1.5; U; en) 480X800 LGE VX11000)

I plugged a male to male audio cable from my phone to my computer's mic port a few days ago.

Then I recorded the audio of a voicemail to audacity, and saved it as an mp3.

Cable costs next to nothing, and if you need one, a 2.5-3.5mm adapter is also cheap.

There is honestly no software that can decode the EVRC codec?
I am transferring sounds from my vx9900 to a Blackberry 9630. However I would like to have them in MP3 format since I know the BB can handle that format. However, I am unsure of its qcp support.

The first revision of EVRC was decodable by Quicktime, but the B revision... is not and I don't think Apple is going to update QuickTime to support it in the near future.

Type How to Convert QCP to MP3, WAV, WMA on Windows or Mac in Google to search a guide and have a look at it. Hope it can be helpful. Good luck.
