Good stuff -- I'm getting so sick of my Q that I'll take any glimmer of hope.

He probably told you to not buy a Chocolate because there's a Chocolate 2 coming out on Monday and we're technically not supposed to tell customers.

I do hope he's right though.

Don't you think that he would've said wait for another Chocolate instead of wait for the i760? Your argument makes no sense.

    Good Morning,

Sorry if I wasn't specific enough in my initial post - I was in the store to purchase the upgraded version of the Chocolate, which was actually available in my area yesterday (I played around w/the blue one, it's pretty cool). In fact, it's in my local Circuit City circular today.

Anyway, just to clarify, he just did not think it would be a wise use of money to purchase the "new" Chocolate w/the I760's release being so imminent- at least hat was my impression.

    Peace

No, because like I said, we're technically not supposed to tell people.

It would be nice if he were right though, and then maybe I could get the i760 and Rizr in the same month!!

Ive tried to do a comparison to tell which phone I should wait for Im not sure which websites provide the accurate information regarding specs like RAM and proc speed( I use the PDA functionality to run a few programs for worK) can someone post or direct me to accurate links for both phones. thanks a ton!

wow i JUST noticed how thin the samsung i760 is compared to the htc xv6800 (well it looks thinner). i soo want this i760 just cause it's thinner and still has wi-fi. only thing that worries me is the lack of memory compared to the 6800.... shouldnt be too big of a deal right?

I don't feel like pulling up links, but I'm pretty sure they're the same size, or close.
I talked to the Samsung rep and he said he's not very pocketable. He said it's not like the Blackjack or anything.

Anyway, enough w/the greetings & salutations - I went in to Circuit City earlier today to purchase a Chocolate (I was just fed up w/waiting on the I760 - I know there's no comparison but I want a new phone, and at this point anything will do), but I digress.

I told the Rep that I was just sick of waiting on the phone I really want, he asked which one is that, and I told him the I760, and I kid you not - he lit up like a Christmas Tree. He stated that if the I760 is what I want, I should wait because it'll be out "very shortly". I asked him to elaborate and he said that a Rep had come in w/the actual device to train them - I'm sorry everybody, he was extremely vague w/ any info on a release date, but said that I definitely did not want to buy the Chocolate and to just hold out a bit longer. He also said the I760 is a great device and that he loved it too.

Additionally, I inquired about the price for the I760, he indicated $299/2yr! Now as I do in each my posts, and at the risk of sounding redundant I'll say as I always do: Unfortunately I can't vouch for the validity and/or credibility of what was told to me, but I do try to share any new information on this device that I receive; perhaps others of you in the community can determine whether it has the ring of truth or not.

Finally, because of his ambiguity on the acutual release date, I still wanted to get the Chocolate (obviously becaused I've heard this "soon" stuff before) and the Rep all but refused to sell it to me because he insisted that I wait for the I760 and that I wouldn't be waiting much longer - Let's all hope that this info provided on 07/07/07 is accurate!

    Peace

Is there anyway you could find out what the full retail price will be?
