Okay, I am on my 7th Treo 700, and I am about to throw this one into the river, so does anyone have any clue when to expect the 760? I really need to get a new device and want to do so when the i760 comes out, but I cant wait forever.

I assume you have read all the threads about these phones. If you'd had you know that no one has any clue whats going on. Everything is just speculation. Until something pops up on testman for everyone we just in the dark as everyone else.
Did you try for a 700wx?

I just got an email from my Verizon Business Rep. I have been hounding her for the last couple of weeks to get me a firm release date since I have 7 700w's that I want to get rid of and I want to wait for WM6 to come out.
Anyway, she has stated that the i760 just failed the last round of testing and they do not expect to release it until Q1 of 2008. They do not expect to have a WM6 device until Q4 this year.
Take it as you will. I hope to god she is wrong...
I have a face to face meeting with her and the local Data Solutions Manager to discuss phone options. I'll post up after the meeting.

Yikes...if that's true then, well, that blows. I just found out about renewing after 20 months instead of 22 and was really looking forward to this thing coming out by say, the first week in August.
VERIZON (who else would i go with? its not like i have a choice in my area..)

actually i don't think it to be BS.. i have heard from very very high ups in the company that the 6800 was scheduled for release on march 15th.. it is now mid july with nothing.. anything pda related verizon is delaying the **** out of.. we took a training class on vzwappzone which was supposed to be get it now for pdas.. that has been delayed indefinetly now

Its bs. I don't believe any other word than Ethan's (ethan:trusted verizon insider) from pdaphonehome. He is saying a July release is VERY likely to happen. Verizon has already started marketing for the i760 which means its coming soon.

I'm hopeful. I was talking to a rep the other day but didn't know much other than all phones have been getting delayed and his is getting sick of it. He just mentioned that the Titan was supposed to be released mid march and looked at me like he didn't have a clue when new PDA's would be coming out.
I talked to a co worker of mine her boy friend is a vzw employee I had her ask him about the i760 he said it will be august training on the phone is starting later this month he said it will be more expensive then originally projected just letting you know what I heard
If this is the case then Verizon may lose me.
I'm tired of my Treo 700w and want a new phone.
I currently have NE2 eligibility but no reasonable phone alternatives.
The i760 is the first decent looking/functioning phone for Verizon in more than a year and they can't get the dang thing out.
If it's late 2007 or 2008, it will be w/out me.
ETF or not. My bill runs $125/month anyway. An ETF is not much more than a months bill.
