pwned!! (unless me meant voip and data)

I know this is a CDMA device, but I am thinking about jumping ship from vzw for the kaiser. I am eligible for the NE2 but if Kaiser is that much sicker of a phone then I'll just buy it unlocked online and use it on ATT. Thoughts? I haven't really seen these two phones stacked up against each other yet.

Are you talking about a firmware upgrade, or a hardware upgrade? Is it even possible to go from Rev 0 to Rev A via a software change?

    Thanks.

From what we know, it would require a hardware upgrade....so this is doubtful.

However, I don't think this is sent in stone since we haven't seen the FCC internal photos to see exactly which chipset is used.

But IIRC, reliable sources have said it's NOT upgradeable.

My understanding is that they would have to be built to be Rev A compatible, and then require a firmware upgrade later on down the road. Not sure if that's the case here, but it would be nice to at least know it could be Rev A later on.

Any why is that pertinent to this conversation? One has nothing to do with the other.

That still has no bearing on the topic of the i760. Neither does your childishly calling me a douche.

If this phone doesn't release by the end of August under $180 with a combo of NE2, Advance Device Credit, and rebate?, or they release something that catches my eye, bye bye 10 yrs. with VZW...

Flaco was just (I think) saying that the i760 may be upgradeable to Rev A in the future, just like the 8830 which is currently Rev 0.

Well I'm glad that Engadget got it before VZW found out that HoFo people found it....

Engadget still has the picture but the vzw link is dead.
