Yahoo Go 2.0 has a list of phones it is compatible with. The i760 is listed and labled as "coming soon", along with the Q9M and some other phones verizon folks have been waiting on.
I am almost allowing myself to get excited, thinking that this phone just might be released some time this month. However, I am trying to keep myself from getting too excited by saying that since the web site is not going to be updated until July 31st, that it probably wont come out for a few days after that.
Just being realistic, as that seems to be the best policy around here.
Guys, i think the redirect scheduled for July 31st may be the "Coming Soon" page, or the flash demo page that we saw a few weeks ago... not a release.
Though im also begging for a Jul 31st release... I dont want everyone to get their hopes up tooooo high.
Not sure if anyone over here saw this, but seems to be a pretty informative post from the i760 thread at pdaphonehome.com. indicates a late august release:
My employer provides my phone and would like me to switch to a PDA like the other system administrators (yay and boo at the same time)...
Right now, my phone is in their name and they get the bill and pay for it and life is good. Because of some policies that have changed since they bought my phone and plan they want the new pda phone and plan to be in my name and will just reimburse me every month (kind of a pain but for $100 I won't complain much).
I'll be carrying this phone for the next two years before I can get a new one, so I don't want anything that is already out. I've been holding out for the 6800 or i760, but pressure from the business office is growing every day. I am not sure if I can stall much longer before they get pissed and force me by yanking my current phone (which is not in contract).
I bring this up because I wondered if I went and got a 6700 right now if I'd be able to switch (without paying anything but the difference) to a 6800 or i760 if they come out within the 30 day period? Anybody got any clue on this sort of thing?
Also, I wondered if there is any chance that either the 6800 or i760 wouldn't be out within the next 30 days. I might be able to hold my employer off for another week at best, but they aren't going to want to pay for another month (even prorated) so I need to act quick....

The real question you would need to answer is when the actual release date is for the phone you want. It looks like, as of today, the phones you list are more than 30 days out most likely.
Could you possible go to your tech guy and explain your situation? See if you can get an extra month, or at least an extra week or two, in order to put you safely into that window?
Below you will find a link to an image taken from work. This image is from our website update source. This is for when there are going to be scheduled changes made to the VZW.com website. It shows that there will be a "redirect" for the samsung sch i760. Now before anyone asks (i know they will anyway), I have NO clue what RLP stands for (resource launch page???), just posting what i have!
Was talking to "someone" from "somewhere" who told me this:
LOL, don't even talk to me about the i760! Dude, people have been using those around the office since November!! It's crazy!! They must've gone through like 3 or 4 MRs by now and they still can't get the software right. Between you and me, we've had lots of issues between our OEMs, Qualcomm and some of our app developers which is probably why all our WinMo 6 devices are delayed. No VX 6800 still--it was originally supposed to launch with WinMo 5 and now they're holding it back because the OS is obsolete. We have a few other WinMo 6 devices from Motorola coming--I know one of them should launch end of August or September.
