I am thinking about blocking data, but then I wont be able to receive pix messages. Will I still be able to receive texts? Also, the campus wifi is awesome but it causes a problem with battery life, as most of the phones that currently have wifi experience incredible reductions in battery life when the wifi is enabled. Also, getting the first 2.5 months of data free ($100 off when signing up for a new data plan) almost makes it worth it. I think I will probably end up getting the data and then canceling it as soon as I can if I dont end up using it very much, and the WiFi works well.
How is it not Verizon branded? And why does it really matter?
i just figured a branded verizon i760 would tell us how far along the i760 is to be released. it's like saying it's THE final product or something. understand my logic?

Nice logic, but if you look at those photos in the link I posted, Verizon's logo is emblazoned just under the screen and just above the keypad in several pics. So at that point, so far away from the final release, they already had a branded unit.
Since the holdup is really software related, a pic of a branded unit proves little. I'm sure the cases with silk-screen logos were manufactured months ago.
